An Important Announcement

Kevin here.

This Thanksgiving, I realize I have a lot to be thankful for. Wonderful friends. A lovely fiancée. Mass Effect 2 (You are a horrible, meddlesome girl, Tessa, and I love you so). I could make a list, but the absolute top would be Made of Fail.

This show was a turning point in my life. It was the moment when two friends decided to have some fun, and it snowballed into all of this. Made of Fail Productions, now about to add two – maybe three or four – radio dramas to its already impressive lineup of three podcasts, a crapload of blogs, and more friendships than I can do service to.

It is because of all of this that I am where I am today, at the heart and soul of this crazy steamrolling ball of insanity that I love so much. I have been taking more and more charge of the Production company as a whole, which is what this is turning out to be, and as such, there needs to be a bit of a change.

I would like to take this moment to announce that, as of January, I am stepping aside as host of our flagship podcast, Made of Fail, and handing the reins over to Dayna. In my opinion, she has – more than me – helped shape this one little show into what it is today, and I have full faith in her ability to take the lead and run it in whatever direction she chooses. She may have some formatting changes, or she might keep things exactly as they are, but the decision is now hers and hers alone.

Does this mean I am leaving? No. I will remain the Owner and Lead Producer of Made of Fail Productions. I will still seek out and start up new projects, take submissions from outside sources, and figure out what the hell this is all shaping up to be. I’m also not leaving our flagship podcast completely, either; I will be coming on as a guest-host now, on whatever episodes Dayna wishes me to take part in, or whichever episodes have the topics I want to discuss. I’m still writing for Deconstructing Moya, and I’m never going away.

This is not a decision I make lightly – it has been in the works for a few months, and it has been on my mind for over half a year now. The whole thing has just gotten so big, and it warms my heart that we’re so important to all of you. It is because of this that I wish to do you all the justice of continuing to have the shows, features, blogs, and other fun projects that you love so much. There will be more of the same, and more of the new, and much much more of Noel than we ever wanted to see in the first place.

Happy Thanksgiving, Happy Holidays, and Happy Failcraft Adventuring to all of you.

May we stay on the air forever.
