SPOILER WARNING: We spoil pretty major plot details for the latest World Of Warcraft expansion, Mists Of Pandaria. You have so been warned.
NERD WARNING: This is pretty close to a WoW-only episode. If you have zero interest in the game, best step right along, nothing to see here, here be dragonflights, etc.
Editor Devin has noted that we may want to define the following for newbies:
-DPS: Damage Per Second; the role in the party that kills things to death.
-AOE: Area Of Effect; a spell or ability that damages more than one target at a time
-PVE: Player Vs. Environment; the “normal” game, where you cannot arbitrarily be picked off by a player of the opposing faction unless you designate yourself for PvP (Player Vs. Player) or are in a PvP-specific zone.
-spec: Specialty; designating if your gear and abilities are for tanking (taking damage for the group); healing (what it says on the tin) or DPS (see above).
In our excitement we were also remiss in not actually naming “the book” we so very highly recommended. This is Jaina Proudmoore: Tides Of War by Christie Golden. It is absolutely fantastic, highly recommended, and kind of mandatory reading if you wanted to know exactly WTF was going on in the Theramore’s Fall scenario.
STUFF WHAT WAS NOT WARCRAFT-RELATED: Tessa was at Canterlot Gardens last month and had the best time ever. She met Tara Strong (Twilight Sparkle) and Andrea Libman (Pinkie Pie) and then died of squee. She got better.

My Little Pony: Fighting Is Magic is a fan-made, non-profit 2D fighter being developed by Mane 6 and it looks frickin’ sweet.
