[Red Pen Reads] A Game of Thrones – Bran and Catelyn

New post on Second Time Around!

A Game of Thrones – Prologue

“The morning had dawned clear and cold, with a crispness that hinted at the end of summer.” Summer that lasts for years and years. With winter almost here and temperatures dropping, I can see the appeal of that. I imagine a nine-year summer in Winterfell must be really nice. Nine years of summer in King’s Landing, or worse yet: Dorne, on the other hand, must suck balls. Sweaty, humid balls.

[Red Pen Reads] A Game of Thrones – Prologue

New post on Second Time Around!

A Game of Thrones – Prologue

The story opens with a prologue and if this is your first time opening the book, you might foolishly believe that the prologue would be logically followed by a “chapter 1”. We’ll return to that assumption when we make it that far. If we make it that far and in George R.R. Martin’s books, that’s a big if! (George R.R. Martin shall henceforth be known as GRRM, pronounced “grim,” roll the R.)

Meet the Failcrew – Dayna Abel

Hey everyone. I’m Dayna Abel, co-host and PR agent extraordinaire, here for Meet the Failcrew! To sum me up: I’m a proud geekess, happily married, living with the best husband, cats and roommates ever in the ‘burbs of New Orleans. I love a ton of stuff – comics, mostly DC; RPGs, mostly Square Enix’s; pretty much anything Joss Whedon does; horror movies; World Of Warcraft (as of last July); Terry Brooks; David and Leigh Eddings; True Blood; and Wil Wheaton. Annnnnnnnnd GO QUESTIONS GO!

What is your role in Made of Fail Productions?

I am the co-creator and co-host, as well as the Public Relations Manager for Made Of Fail Productions. Usually this consists of plugging the show everywhere I can conceivably do so, be it online, at a convention or at my local comic shop or GameStop. I also scout for potential guests and communicate as often as I can with fans. I try to come up with good topics for the show, as well as horrible episode titles, and I am usually the face of the show as I am way prettier than Kevin. XD

By Popular Demand: Crichton Kicks – Tessa’s First Draft

We bring you the unedited initial submission for Tessa’s segment in this week’s Deconstructing Moya post.

“Note to self – I apparently need to turn Ponify off when writing things like emails and forum messages. It’s only supposed to fake-replace words on sites, but its apparently replacing things as I’m typing them and while amusing and fun most of the time, its… probably not a great idea to have happen.”

@alliancesjr: Damn it, now I have to go on an entire search-and-replace mission because SOMEPONY left her pony replace pony addon running pony. #TESSA
@sonozakitwins: It’s not my fault! Actually it totally is, but I’m going to SAY it’s not my fault!

Meet the Failcrew – Kevin O’Shea

This week we meet the mastermind behind the curtain, Kevin O’Shea. Standing at a respectable 5’9″, our hero effortlessly takes on all challenges as they come. He never knew you liked pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, the feel of the ocean, or the taste of champagne.

What is your role in Made of Fail Productions?

Master overlord. Or rather, I’m the original co-creator of the flagship podcast, as well as the owner and producer of Made of Fail Productions as a whole. I generally make sure everyone’s projects are running smoothly and are connected to the main site. I also take and sort applications for new projects, set up new sites and space, and come up with the majority of the ideas for content.
