[Review] Legends Of Tomorrow Episode 4×08: “Legends of To-meow-meow”

SPOILER WARNINGS ARE IN EFFECT

Time to enjoy an hour of ZariCat knocking things off of tables with the wind totem.

Usually to get into the mood to write these things, I listen to a song. Sometimes it’s a song from the era in which the episode takes place or, failing that, the Chamber Brothers’ “Time Has Come Today,” which was heard in the Season Two finale. Other times I pick a song that’s just thematically appropriate or something that gets me in the frame of mind.

I just wanted you all to know what I’m listening to as I type this intro.

SPOILER WARNINGS ARE IN EFFECT

The Super Friends travel to a new city to set right what once went wrong and to drag Oliver Queen some more. Also, I finally get to see one of my favorite comic book heroes in live action, but you already knew that since you probably heard that eardrum-shattering fangirl squeal on Monday night. That was me. Sorry.

[Review] The Flash (2014) Episode 3×19: “The Once and Future Flash”

A possible major VFX error gives George a coronary in this week’s recap of CW’s The Flash.

This week starts with Barry figuring out that he needs to travel to 2024 to get his answers. Iris is in the room with him, but she’s distant. She makes Barry promise that if Savitar does kill her, that he’ll be there for Joe. Barry promises, but then the alarm at S.T.A.R. Labs cuts the conversation off.

Spoilers under the cut.

AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!

[NOTE: The following review is brought to you by a mild case of automatonophobia.]

Okay. I can get through this. It’s just creepy dolls. Creepy dolls with knives and dead-eyed stares. I’m fine. Let me just turn on every light in my house first.

[Review] The Flash (2014) Episode 3×18: “Abra Kadabra”

Your friendly neighborhood producer Dayna would like to remind you all that if someone asks you not to take off their necklace, you say YES! Enjoy this recap of the CW’s The Flash.

The opening dives right into the action with Abra Kadabra introducing himself to the security guards at the soon-to-be-shuttered Stagg Industries. He’s working the magician gimmick so hard I’m surprised he didn’t appear looking like this:

Just want to add a quick “fuck you” to my brain for making me remember Phantasio.

Spoilers under the cut.

SPOILER WARNINGS ARE IN EFFECT

A minotaur is loose in 1920s France and Ernest Hemingway is doing his best Gaston impersonation trying to kill the beast. Remember when the show was about trying to kill Vandal Savage? No? Me either. This is better anyway.

[Review] Legends Of Tomorrow Episode 4×05: “Tagumo Attacks!!!”

SPOILER WARNINGS ARE IN EFFECT

The episode begins with Ishiro Honda’s film crew capturing footage of a monster rising from the sea in 1951 Tokyo. On the Waverider, Ray and Sara have tracked down Nora in 2018. Zari walks in on Mick writing again, but he swears he was just watching porn. Sara calls a team meeting, and that includes Charlie because they’re short-handed.

Oh, this is going to be fun.
